Yuting Zhang

I am a second-year PhD student in Data Science and Analytics at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), advised by Dr. Kaishun Wu and Dr. Jintai Chen. I am also a research intern at the UCLA Health Intelligence Lab (HAIL), where I am fortunate to work with Dr. Yuzhe Yang. Before that, I received my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Communication Engineering from Tianjin University in 2021 and 2024, respectively. During my master's study, I was advised by Dr. Xin Liu and collaborated with Dr. Zitong Yu. My research interests include multimodal large language models, agents, and AI for healthcare.

Misc

I enjoy works of rural realism and socially grounded art, especially films by Jia Zhangke and poems by Yu Xiuhua. These works allow me to feel the changes of time and the emotions of ordinary people.

I also admire Robert Pattinson's performances during his independent film period, where I find a unique mix of melancholy and humor. In my free time, I enjoy listening to K-pop and bands, including BLACKPINK, Bolbbalgan4, and Summer Invasion. I am also drawn to the warm, acoustic pop sound of artists like Chris James and Jason Mraz.
